Morning

Holy smokes, I’m tired. This darkness is devastating. The kids drag themselves up in the morning. At least the big one. The smaller one I have to drag.

He stumbles to the sofa, eats his breakfast (always in the sofa). While daylight s l o w l y appears outside. Daylight, should be an app. Really.

I did a job for Ellos. Would have loved to bring the floor with me home.

These small bags are so cute! I live in Karuizawa, Japan. Now we have snow. It’s very cold. Are you all right?

Deb, it’s a serious amount of darkness here now. But during late December there is not even the slightest glimpse of daylight in some parts of Sweden. So we are “lucky” here down in the south with our two hours, ha ha. Daylight returns slowly after December 22 though.

Ricca, I’m alright thanks, I’m not so affected. But a little bright light therapy would have been nice.

bilderna från Ryssland…mums för trötta själar…blåklint och prästkrageängen ska jag leva av idag.

  6. loved the old russian photos thanks for sharing them elisabeth ….I know what you mean about the light …..I am chasing it at the moment ,find it impossible to work in the dark , even with studio lights on ! xx

  7. Min son satt också alltid i soffan och vaknade till och åt frukost när han var liten, ända upp mot femte klass tror jag. Blir inte lika brutalt att vakna en mörk vintermorgon då :-)

    Väldigt snygg julstjärna!

It’s hard to imagine being in a place where it is so dark for so much of the day! Where I live in Australia, we wear sunglasses all year round as the light is so bright here. It really makes a difference to the way we use colour in art and in our homes. You have to respond to the way the light works with and intensifies colour. We’re on opposite sides of the globe!

Fint påslakan. Var hittar man det? God jul!

  13. Elisabeth says:

Anna, påslakanet är sytt av ett tyg jag hittade på Ljungbergs textil för många år sen. God Jul :)
