Mail order rugs

In my younger days I really loved browsing the thick mail order catalogues who tumled down in the mail box every season, Ellos, Haléns, Josefssons.. Sandviken where I grew up was/is a small town with with a limited range of shops. The merchandise promised so much.

These days I rarely stumble to them, the catalogues. What a nice surprise to find a bunch of nice things in the catalouge of Ellos which I amused myself with tonight.

From the top rug 1, rug 2 and rug 3. Check out this and this one also

Moroccan Rag Rugs

FJ Hakimian has the greatest rugs. The Moroccan tribal weavings leaves me with feeling of possessiveness. And these rugs blogged from the same site. Fequented pinned objects on my Pinterest, rugs.

Notice the different colored fringes above.

Patchwork and Kilim rugs

The Swedish auction site Lauritz has the most beautiful rugs. Good inspiration for Anna and me who will start working with new rugs for House of Rym soon. Did I tell you that our handmade ones are out there now. The machine made ones are still to come though. Things are always taking longer time than expected don’t they.

Find more photos of these treasures here, here, here and here. This, this and this one is also nice. More rug inspiration at Pineterest.

Otis flat-on-belly is his full name. The rugs will be on sale on the Rym-site soon. There will be more rugs, machine weaved ones too. Hope to see them soon, impatient.
