About Bib
After sewing dresses for many years, I want to do something that is simple and gives a quick result. I started sewing bibs for my baby, and we often travel to California, where I became fond of Mexican banadanas. You see them everywhere on kids or dogs. I like to sew in conventional cotton, it gets softer and finer over time. So now I’m doing fine Bandana bibs, using Liberty fabrics or other fine patterns that are suitable for children and are appreciated by parents.

And they looks great on small dogs!

Tray Hauro is a nice size tray for the house and garden. Or apartment for that matter! The pattern inspired by Japaneese craftpaper is handpainted watercolor in black/indigo blue. The trays are hand made on Öland, of the Swedish east coast. The tray meassures 38cm across. There might be slight variations in the trays due to that hey are hand made.

We first corresponded through mail art, sending collaged postcards, typewritten letters and decorated packages back and forth over hundreds of miles. Now we share a small studio in Fort Wayne, IN where we have lots of fun creating artwork and designing new products.

First artists then designers, we enjoy developing products that are intriguing, useful and often humorous. Handsoap began as a sculpture by Marie which incorporated thousands of doll hands cast in soap… Now it’s our most popular product!

I still work on movies (I, Alex Cross comes out later this year and Thunderstruck in 2013) and make jewelry between projects or on location. Occasionally the two meld – on films I work closely with the costume designer and it’s a treat when they pick a piece to be worn by an actor.

The vintage beads and gems are cultivated from years of working with designers, estate sales and world traveling to find gorgeous quality pieces.

Lilah is my adorable border collie rescue – she travels with my husband and I wherever we go.
